About Mkulima OnBoard

Mkulima OnBoard is the official platform that supports the registration of sugarcane growers for the election of grower representatives to the Kenya Sugar Board.

Growers cannot vote unless they are properly registered. Registration is carried out by authorized Field Enumerators deployed across sugarcane-growing regions. Mkulima OnBoard provides information to growers about the importance of registration, the eligibility criteria, and the steps to follow during the registration period.

This platform ensures that every eligible grower understands their rights, prepares adequately for the registration exercise, and participates fully in strengthening grower representation within the sugar industry.

Remember, no registration, no voting. Stay informed. Ensure you are registered.

How to Get Registered

To participate in the election of grower representatives to the Kenya Sugar Board, every grower must be properly registered. Registration is simple and straightforward — here's what you need to know:

  • Locate Your Polling Centre

Be on the lookout for announcements about the polling center nearest to your farm or residence. This will be your registration and voting point.

  • Meet the Field Enumerators

On specific dates, official Field Enumerators will be stationed at designated polling centres to assist growers with the registration process.

  • Prepare Your Documents

    Bring the following documents:
    1. National Identification Card (ID)
    2. Delivery receipts, payments, or contracts with sugar millers, any two (2) months within the past twenty-four (24) months (except for the Coastal catchment area, where this requirement does not apply)
    3. For corporate growers: A Board Resolution authorizing a nominee to vote on behalf of the corporate entity

  • Complete the Registration Process

Provide your details to the Enumerator for verification and recording. Carefully review and confirm that all your information is accurate before completing your registration. The polling centre you register at is the same one you shall vote at.
