Mkulima OnBoard is a digital application provided by the Kenya Sugar Board (“we”, “us”, or “our”). The primary purpose of this application is to facilitate and manage the registration of sugarcane farmers specifically for participation in the Kenya Sugar Board grower elections.
In addition to farmer onboarding, the app also supports essential processes related to the recruitment, interviewing, shortlisting, and placement of field enumerators. These enumerators are responsible for assisting with the accurate and efficient registration of eligible growers across the country.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information in connection with your use of Mkulima OnBoard, whether you are a farmer, field enumerator, or other authorized user.

Personal Data: We collect the following data from Field Enumerators and registered Growers:
- Names
- National ID numbers
- Phone numbers
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Location data (County, Subcounty, Ward, Polling Centre)
- Voter registration details
- Device & App Usage Data: We may collect information about your device (e.g. device model, OS version) and app usage (e.g. login times, error logs) to improve the service and for security.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To verify the identity of Field Enumerators and Growers.
- To register, manage, and update grower information as required by the Kenya Sugar Board.
- To send important notifications (e.g. OTPs, registration status, voter reference numbers).
- To comply with regulatory and legal requirements.

- Your data is only shared with authorized Kenya Sugar Board staff and officials for regulatory and management purposes.
